This page provides information regarding the responsible use of private property easements.

Easement holders, and all individuals for whom they are responsible, bear the obligation to prevent damage to the landowner’s private property. Should damage occur, the easement holder is liable for its repair and for implementing measures to prevent recurrence.

The easement agreement applicable to this property was established with the specific intent to accommodate a single-family dwelling, not a commercial enterprise. The landowner’s established rights and property boundaries will be strictly enforced.

They reflect the persistent issues of overburdening the easement and the resulting impact on the landowner’s property.
